Our client is one of the Southeast's largest independent orthopedic groups — 32 physicians across sports medicine, joints, spine, hand, foot & ankle, and non-operative sports medicine. The group owns three ambulatory surgery centers with dedicated ortho time and has affiliations with two collegiate athletic programs and one professional franchise.
The incoming surgeon will focus on knee and shoulder — ACL reconstruction, meniscus, rotator cuff, labral repair, cartilage restoration — with the option to build a hip arthroscopy component. Practice is 4 days clinic / OR (roughly 60/40 clinic-to-OR split) plus a shared sports medicine call rotation. Established referral pipeline from the group's non-operative sports team.
Compensation is base salary with production upside. The group operates a two-year partnership track leading to full equity in the practice, real estate, and ASC ownership — historically the ASC distribution alone adds meaningful six-figure income for partners.
Requirements
- MD or DO with completion of an ACGME-accredited orthopedic surgery residency and sports medicine fellowship
- Board certified or board eligible in Orthopedic Surgery with CAQ eligibility in Sports Medicine
- Active or eligible for Georgia medical license and unrestricted DEA
- Comfort with the full arthroscopic sports medicine case mix; hip arthroscopy experience a plus
- Interest in team-coverage / sideline work encouraged but not required
